2 drug traffickers yield shabu worth P1.7M in Cavite bust
LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics operatives arrested on Tuesday morning, Nov. 7, two “high-value” drug traffickers and seized more than P1.7 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) in Silang, Cavite.
The Region 4A police reported that members of the local drug enforcement unit collared the suspects identified as “Joshua” and “Susan” after they allegedly sold shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay Munting Ilog.
The suspects yielded a ziplock containing suspected shabu weighing 255 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P1,725,000.
Authorities also seized a mobile phone, which will be subjected to digital forensic examinations and a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.
The police are conducting further investigation to determine the source of the illegal drugs.
Police tagged the suspects as included on the police drug watch list as high-value individuals in the local drug trade.
The suspects were detained and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, police anti-narcotics operatives in Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon said in a previous report that their cops seized more than P32.2 million worth of shabu and marijuana during their operations in October.
