MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Saturday that it rewarded an informant with P420,000 for information that led to the capture of Gilbert Concepcion, a wanted person.
In January, Concepcion, who was the leader of the Concepcion Criminal Gang involved in several crimes in the Bicol Region according to the PNP, was killed in a shootout with the police in Parañaque City.

Concepcion was also included in the most wanted list of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.
“The informant’s invaluable information exemplifies the effectiveness of collaborative efforts between the community and law enforcement,” PNP Chief Police General Benjamin Acorda said on Friday during the reward.
Acorda also told the public to report any information that they may have that can help police in apprehending criminals.
