BOC confiscates 2 smuggled luxury cars in Misamis Oriental
MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) confiscated two luxury vehicles misdeclared as truck parts at the Mindanao Container Terminal in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental on December 15.
The vehicles, both Porsche, arrived at the Port of Cagayan de Oro from South Korea on December 12, being declared as 1,045 pieces of used truck replacement parts, the BOC said.
The agency added that the two luxury cars were consigned to a car trading company and had an estimated value of P30 million.

The BOC also issued a warrant of seizure and detention for violating the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.

According to Customs Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio, the agency will “steadfastly protect the country’s borders to prevent the entry of illegal cargo.”
“Our ports are steadfast in protecting our borders to ensure that goods are thoroughly inspected, preventing illicit cargo entry,” Rubio said.
