CAAP: Cessna aircraft crash landed in Bulacan; 2 onboard safe
MANILA, Philippines — A Cessna C152 aircraft crash landed in Malolos, Bulacan on Saturday, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said.
The aircraft, operated by Fliteline Aviation, landed in a rice field in Malolos at 2:15 p.m.
CAAP received the report about the incident from its Plaridel Tower.
Based on the initial report, the aircraft, which bears a registry number of RP-C2673, was on a touch-go training flight with a route from Plaridel to Subic and back to Plaridel.
CAAP added that it performed an emergency landing procedure due to an engine failure southwest of the North Luzon Expressway.
“The pilot and student pilot onboard have been reported as safe and alive following the emergency landing,” the agency said.
It added that an investigation is already ongoing, and the Operations Center and the Aeronautical Rescue Coordination Center (PARCC) of CAAP have already been alerted about the incident.
CAAP’s Aircraft Accident Investigation and Inquiry Board has also been dispatched to the crash site for investigation.
