DSWD distributes livelihood capital in Batangas
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has distributed P900,000 worth of capital assistance to 60 participant-stakeholders of its Sustainable Livelihood Program in Santa Teresita, Batangas.
The assistance was awarded in a ceremony held on Tuesday.
The recipients are members of the Dream Builders SLP Association in Barangay Calumala; the St. Therese SLP Association in Barangay Poblacion 2; and the Irukanian’s SLP Association in Barangay Irukan.

Meanwhile, Santa Teresita Mayor Norberto Sehgunial said that the participants should further enrich their skills with the assistance they received.

“Malaking panimulang puhunan ang binigay sa inyo at ganun din ang training na binigay. Samantalahin at palaguin ninyo ang tulong na inyong natanggap upang makatulong ang pagkakataong ito sa bawat miyembro ng inyong grupo,” Segunial said.

The Sustainable Livelihood Program is a program that aims to encourage poor, vulnerable, and marginalized households to develop micro-enterprises to improve their conditions.
