Comelec reports over 80,000 new registrants on Day 1 of listing
MANILA, Philippines — More than 80,000 Filipinos registered on the first day of voter registration for the 2025 midterm elections, the poll body said on Tuesday.
As of February 12, a total of 88,809 individuals from across the country had registered to vote in the upcoming elections.

Below is the number of new voter registrants per region based on the data given by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to reporters:
- Main Office – 412
- National Capital Region – 10,623
- Cordillera Administrative Region – 1,172
- Region I – 6,705
- Region II – 3,430
- Region III – 10, 143
- Region IV-A – 14,754
- Region IV-B – 1,508
- Region V – 3,349
- Region VI – 4,474
- Region VII – 7,890
- Region VIII – 3,444
- Region IX – 3,162
- Region X – 4,197
- Region XI – 4,713
- Region XII – 3,846
- Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao – 1,781
- Caraga Administrative Region – 3,206
From this number, Comelec said that 463 individuals enlisted through their “Register Anywhere Program (RAP).”
RAP is an initiative launched by the poll body where unregistered individuals can register in malls and other convenient locations nationwide.
The voter registration for the 2025 national and local elections officially began on Monday, February 12 and will run until September 30.
Comelec earlier said it targets registering at least 3 million new voters during the period.
