On Monday, David said that Metro Manila’s COVID-19 positivity rate was 16.8 percent as of June 3, with positivity rates also decreasing in most of Luzon.

The nationwide positivity rate is at 17.2 percent, as of June 6, slightly lower than the previous day’s 17.8 percent.

Department of Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire previously explained that increases and decreases in infections are expected due to the lower number of tests conducted and the country’s increased mobility.
