‘High-value’ drug suspect yields P340,000 meth in Tarlac

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) allegedly confiscated Monday some P340,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) from a “high-value” target in Bamban town in Tarlac province.

In a statement, the PDEA Central Luzon identified the arrested suspect as King Er Vitan, 35, a resident of this city.

The PDEA Tarlac provincial officer said Vitan was on the PDEA-Philippine National Police Unified Watchlist as a high-value target.

The operation by PDEA Tarlac with assistance of the Bamban police, allegedly resulted in the seizure of some 50 grams of shabu and the recovery of the marked peso bills and play money used in the sting operation.

Earlier, PDEA Pampanga arrested four people in Magalang town who allegedly yielded P102,000 worth of suspected shabu.

The arrested suspects face charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
