Marcos names new LWUA administrator

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. appointed Jose Moises Salonga as the new Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) administrator, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) announced Monday.

Salonga would replace Homer Revil, who was the acting administrator appointed by Marcos in early February.

“Salonga will take over the operations of the LWUA, a government-owned and controlled corporation with a specialized lending function mandated by law to promote and oversee the development of water supply systems in provincial cities and municipalities outside of Metro Manila,” said the PCO.

Malacañang said the President officially appointed Salonga on February 19.

The PCO said Salonga is a graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University, with a Master’s in Public Safety Administration from the Philippine Public Safety College.
