Motorbiker dead in Pasig City road crash
MANILA, Philippines — A 59-year-old motorcyclist died after his vehicle figured in a collision with a utility vehicle in Pasig City, on Tuesday morning, according to police.
Pasig police traffic investigator Staff Sergeant Edwin Cruz, said the fatality, Romeo Flores, was crusing along Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Avenue around 7:15 a.m. when he figured in the road crash.
“Yung motor nanggagaling po ng Amang Rodriguez papuntang Marcos Highway tapos yung Toyota Avanza from opposite direction about to turn left nung bumangga ito,” Cruz told INQUIRER.net in a phone interview.
(The motorcycle driver came from Amang Rodriguez going to Marcos Highway, while the Toyota Avanza was from the opposite direction and was about to turn left when the mishap happened.)
The car driver, whose name was withheld by Cruz, is currently under the custody of the Pasig City police and will face a formal complaints of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
