No LPA, but Pagasa says cloudy skies, light rains for eastern parts of PH
MANILA, Philippines — No weather disturbance is expected to affect the country over the weekend, but state meteorologists said that the eastern parts of the country would see cloudy skies and experience light rains.
Weather reports from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Friday afternoon said that the tail end of a frontal system still affects the eastern portion of Southern Luzon and the Bicol Region, while easterlies bring cloud bands over Visayas and Mindanao.
The remaining parts of Luzon ,on the other hand, will see generally fair weather, but rains may still occur due to the northeast monsoon or amihan.
No low-pressure areas or tropical cyclones are seen to enter the Philippine area of responsibility in the coming days.
Weather is also seen to warm up a bit due to the momentary pause in the northeast monsoon’s effect, which would weaken starting Saturday but may pick up the pace again by next week.
Temperatures in Metro Manila for Saturday would move back to 23 to 30 degrees Celsius, 20 to 28 degrees for Tuguegarao and Tagaytay, 21 to 30 degrees for Laoag, 13 to 23 degrees for Baguio, and 24 to 30 degrees for Legazpi and Puerto Princesa.
For the Visayas and Mindanao, Cebu and Tacloban would have temperatures of 24 to 30 degrees Celsius, Iloilo with 25 to 30 degrees, Davao with 25 to 33 degrees, and Zamboanga with 24 to 32 degrees.
With the slight weakening of the Amihan, Pagasa has removed all gale warnings which means that small boats could sail in any part of the country. However, the state weather bureau warned fisherfolk to still exercise caution because the sea conditions over the eastern Luzon coastline may be rough sometimes.
