P714,000 shabu, gun seized from 5 suspects in Cavite
LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics operatives arrested on Monday and Tuesday (Feb. 26 and 27) five suspected drug traders and seized P714,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm in separate buy-bust operations in Cavite province.
The Region 4A police reported that drug enforcers in General Trias City held at around 8:40 p.m. on Monday suspected drug pushers, “Joana,” “Abigail,” and “Angelou” after they sold a pack of shabu to an undercover cop in a transaction in Barangay (village) Tapia.

The suspects, all classified as “high-value” targets in the government’s drug war, had two knot-tied plastics and four plastic sachets containing shabu weighing a total of 100 grams worth P680,000.
The operatives also seized a mobile phone, which would be subjected to examination if they had records of illegal drug dealings.
In Dasmariñas City, police officers collared “Totoy” and “Marie” in another drug sting operation in Barangay Paliparan 3 around 3:20 a.m. Tuesday.
The suspects, both identified street-level pushers, were found in possession of P34,000 worth of shabu and an undocumented caliber .45 pistol loaded with three bullets.
The arrested suspects are under police custody and face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“Totoy” and “Marie” will also be slapped with charges for violating the gun laws.
