MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon, locally known as amihan, and easterlies are forecast to continuously affect the country for the next three days, the state weather bureau said on Tuesday.

He said that more areas are expected to be affected by amihan in the coming days.

While easterlies are seen to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Mindanao on Tuesday, Villamil said it is likely to bring less rain starting Wednesday, particularly over the Caraga and Davao Regions.

However, the western and central portions of Mindanao may still experience rains brought by easterlies in the next few days.

Meanwhile, the eastern portions of Luzon and Visayas have a high chance of experiencing overcast skies with rains still due to amihan and easterlies, respectively.
