Sen. Angara’s office leads relief efforts for Davao Region flood survivors
MANILA, Philippines — The Office of Senator Sonny Angara conducted a series of relief operations in the Davao Region to provide assistance to the residents affected by the massive flooding that took place there last month.
Together with the Office of Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte, the representatives of Angara’s Senate office distributed food packs and other relief goods to the residents situated in the evacuation centers at Barangay Tigatto, Waan and Lasang.
In Davao de Oro, food packs were distributed to the residents of Barangay Bantacan and Andap with the help of Davao de Oro Rep. Maricar Zamora.
For the affected residents of Manay and Caraga in Davao Oriental, the team were assisted by local officials including Congressman Nelson Dayanghirang, Vice Governor Nelson “JR” Dayanghirang Jr. and Mayor Jon Marco “JM” Dayanghirang in the distribution of food packs.
It will be recalled that the Davao Region suffered from massive flooding brought about by Typhoon Kabayan in December last year. A month before that, the region was also hit by a strong earthquake.

The representatives of the senator also conducted relief operations in Barangays Madaum and San Isidro in Tagum City, which also has a significant number of evacuees.
Angara said he will continue to provide assistance whenever it is needed, particularly to those who suffered from massive losses just like the residents of Davao.
