Two from Mindanao in top ranks of midwifery licensure exam

Midwifery licensure exam 3rd placer Lerah Donor Dalid of Misamis University in Ozamiz City

OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Oriental, Philippines — Two examinees from Mindanao were among the top 10 passers of the Midwifery licensure examinations held on November 5 and 6.

The results released by the Professional Regulations Commission showed that 2,800 of the 4,119 examinees made the cut.

Placing third is 21-year-old Lerah Donor Dalid of Barangay Bacolod here, who garnered a 91.30-percent rating.

Dalid, a graduate of Misamis University in Ozamiz City, said that she never expected to be among the top passers.

She admitted having difficulty in one of the five subjects of the exam, on Infant Care and Feeding.

However, her co-reviewees, are very optimistic that she would earn a spot in the top 10.

“All those sleepless nights of study and review are truly worth it. Finally, my efforts and all my hard work paid off, “ Dalid said.

She is thankful to everyone who has inspired her and who has contributed to her success.

“Above all, I am forever grateful to Jehovah God, the One who has given me the strength, the knowledge and the talent,” Dalid said.

The other Mindanawon in the top 10 passers is 4th placer Charlin Dua Montilla of the Jose Rizal Memorial State University in Dipolog City.

The University of Northern Philippines-Vigan was named the top-performing school with 100 percent passing rate as all of its 40 examinees passed.

This was followed by Bohol Island State University-Calape with a passing rate of 98.25 percent and the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State University-Candon with a 97.44 percent passing rate.

Janelle Fauni of the Cavite State University (Don Severino Agricultural College) is the batch’s topnotcher, garnering a rating of 91.65 percent, followed by Mary Espiso of the same school with a 91.55 percent rating.
