One person died and 63 others were injured on Ash Wednesday following the collapse of the second floor of a church in San Jose Del Monte in Bulacan, according to the district Rep. Rida Robes on Wednesday.

P100 daily wage hike bill gets Senate nod on 2nd reading

The Senate on Wednesday approved on second reading a bill pushing for a P100-daily minimum wage increase for private sector workers. 

Senate Bill No. 2534 under Committee Report No. 190 was unanimously approved during Wednesday’s plenary session.

DepEd still verifying reports of 750 gb data breach

The Department of Education (DepEd) on Wednesday said it is already verifying reports of a data breach in a certain education department.

“We have instructed the field offices to run diagnostics and verify if there was indeed a hack,” DepEd spokesperson Michael Poa told reporters through Viber.
