Robredo’s volunteer in Quezon still missing, relatives say
MANILA, Philippines — A volunteer of Vice President Leni Robredo’s People’s Campaign in Candelaria town of Quezon province remains missing as of Wednesday, his family said.
In a text message to INQUIRER.net, the wife of Dante Gatdula said authorities have yet to locate her husband.
“Hindi pa po siya nahahanap eh, wala pa rin akong balita galing sa otoridad,” Betsie Gatdula said in her message.
“Nakakalungkot na five days na ngayon, malabo pa rin,” she added.
Gatdula was first reported missing by fellow volunteers in Quezon, who are preparing for Robredo and her slate’s visit to the province on Thursday, April 28 – less than two weeks before Election Day, May 9.
The Robredo volunteer, a resident of Candelaria town, was supposedly on his way to Quezon province’s capital Lucena City last Saturday, April 23. But he has not contacted anyone from his family since he left home.
